Blasting News is a news website that allows pretty much anybody join and publish news articles. Some people like Blasting News, some writers don’t. That’s how it is with any website; But there are alternatives out there. Below are three Blasting News alternatives you might want to try.
1. Inquisitr
The Inquisitr doesn’t always advertise they need writers, so if you’re interested in writing for them, then you should contact them. I know in the past they wanted writers to create a minimum number of articles per week. It wasn’t a lot, that I do know. You’ll likely be asked to undergo a trial period, where you write up a few articles to see if you’re a good fit.
The more views you get to your news articles on Inquisitr, the more you can make. When it comes to Blasting News alternatives, the Inquisitr is one of the top ones. I don’t know the exact pay rate, but they are legit and they do pay out.
2. Vocal.media
The second Blasting News alternative is Vocal.media, which is a relatively newer site, at least when compared to the other two sites on our list. You publish news articles and you can earn via tips and Vocal pays you based on readership. According to Vocal, engagement is tracked.
Bear in mind that Vocal does require articles to be a minimum of 600 words. Articles will need to be approved by the Vocal team before they are published. Approval of articles is not guaranteed.
As for getting paid, payments are made via Stripe. I can’t predict how much you can make writing news for Vocal.media, but I suggest publishing a few articles. This should give you an idea of whether or not creating content for Vocal is worth it.
3. Digital Journal
Digital Journal is a site I’m familiar with and you should contact them if you want to write news articles for them. You won’t make (most likely won’t) hundreds and hundreds per month writing for Digital Journal, but you could earn some nice pocket money. Plus, it’s fun and easy creating articles on the platform and you can write about various topics.
If you’re accepted as a writer, you can claim one of the assignments that Digital Journal has available. They update their assignments on a regular basis.
Do note that Digital Journal pays once per month. The more you write for them, the more you can potentially earn. But there are other factors that play a role in how much you can earn on Digital Journal.
Tips For Using Those Blasting News Alternatives
First, I recommend trying to become a writer for Digital Journal, Vocal Media and Inquistir. If you’re accepted as a writer to all three sites, then good for you. If only one or two of them accept you, then don’t sweat it. Ideally, you do want to jump aboard all three sites.
Second, stick with the sites for a good month. Publish each and every single day. Try to publish at least 1-3 articles to each site. Depending on how fast you write and how good your writing skills are, this may or may not be easy for you. However, it is good to aim for that number.
Third, check your stats at the end of the month. Did you make enough to want to keep writing for them? If not, then maybe move onto something else. If you did, then keep on writing for them.
Give those three Blasting News alternatives a try and see how it goes. You never know, you might no well with them or you might find that it’s best to move on. Besides time, you don’t really have anything to lose by trying to write for Digital Journal, Vocal Media and/or Inquistir.
Thanks for sharing these legitimate news websites that you can apply to write for to earn extra income from home. I always love reading about new opportunities. I have written for a few websites before that paid out money for writing – some were good and some earned very little income.
If anyone wants to earn money online through writing I always recommend starting your own blog. Think about it – if businesses are so keen to pay others to write for them then what is it worth? Being a blogger myself I can say that the best money I’ve earned for writing has always been on my own websites!
I’ve been looking to supplement my income by some kind of online business and have been considering a blog. The three alternatives you suggest look very interesting and a way to “cut my teeth” to see if my ideas are going to work. I really like the look of the Vocal website and it’s feel seems a good fit for me so I think I’ll give that a go. You suggest signing up for all three. That seems like a lot of writing to start with. Would this work for a newbie concentrating on just one? Can these be used to promote my own blog as a king of guest writer thing? Thanks for the review. Some intriguing alternatives which I’ll check out more closely. I’d appreciate your advice on my queries to get started.

Hi Nathan!
I didn’t know yet about the sites you mentioned in your article. Writing can be very lucrative if you can write a lot, good and have a good partner as your client. Managing own sites and writing for others can be very time-consuming. because of the variety of topics, it can also be very demanding.
However, it is definitely a way of earning money online.
Thanks for sharing this info!
It can be very useful!
Best regards,
Igor
Thanks for sharing these sites. I am interested in working from home, but never considered writing news articles. I am not familiar with any of these sites, but I will check them out.
I’ve never written news articles, but I do have good writing skills from the corporate grind. This sounds like a good way to do this.
Thanks for your research on this.
