Are you looking for an alternative to Uber, as well as an alternative to Lyft. Lucky for you, there are a number of Uber Lyft alternatives, regardless of where you are in the world. One of them is Free Now, which is focused on the European market (but I’m going to talk about the UK market). That said, let’s discuss Free Now in more detail below and then you can decide whether or not to drive for them.
Free Now: An Uber Alternative UK Drivers Should Look Into
In the United Kingdom there are a lot of people who drive taxis and they may be interested in driving for a service that is similar to Uber. The good news is there is an Uber alternative UK taxi drivers can consider; And that alternative is Free Now.
What Is Free Now
Free Now is dubbed as the largest taxi app in Europe. At the time of this writing, there are over 17,000 UK-based taxi drivers who use the app. The way the app works is straightforward; As it involves signing up to be a driver with Free Now, which you do via online or you can actually go to their office in London.
Requirements
As previously mentioned, UK taxi drivers use the app. This means you do have to be a UK-licensed taxi driver to use this alternative to Uber. Also, you have to have a cab. In general, as long as you have a cab and you’re licensed in the UK, then you should be able to drive for Free Now.
Where Do They Operate
Right now, Free Now operates in 9 UK cities. These cities are Manchester, London, Nottingham and Derby. The other cities are Edinburgh, Leicester, Brighton, Reading and Oxford.
Using The App
When it comes to this Uber alternative, UK taxi drivers will love the fact that the app is just as easy to use as Uber, as well as other ride-sharing apps like Lyft. After you have registered as a driver with Free Now, you log into the app and then accept rides. It’s as easy as that.
The Benefits Of Driving For Free Now
Flexibility is one of the key benefits of driving for Free Now. In fact, flexibility is among the top reasons Free Now is a great alternative to Uber for drivers in the UK. You can work when you want, and all you have to do if flip the app on and wait until you are notified of passengers needing to be picked up.
Pre-bookings is another cool benefit. Free Now allows its drivers to receive bookings days in advance, up to four days actually. This means you have plenty of time to plan your workweek.
Finding customers with ease is a top benefit of using Free Now. This is because the company finds your next customer in the area you’re driving in. Simply log into the app and wait until it tells you where the customer is.
Finally, Free Now can find you work after your shift has ended. Once your shift has concluded, you can use Free Now to pick up a job in the direction you’re going.
To sum up the above, the key benefits to using this Uber alternative is as followed:
. Flexibility
. Pre-bookings
. Find customers easily
. Find customers after your shift
Should You Use Free Now
If you’re a taxi driver in the UK and you’re looking for an Uber alternative, then UK cab drivers like yourself should give Free Now a try. I recommend signing up and trying them out for a good month. If you end up doing very well, then go ahead and keep using Free Now. If you don’t do well, then stop using it.
Wow! Great post! In an age of fast-paced development now, there is great competition from everywhere. Maybe this is one of them. However, at this time FreeNow is not yet present in my country, but judging from the current trends, there seems to be a high possibility of coming to my country.
According to you personally, if FreeNow can compete fiercely with Uber and Lyft, doesn’t that mean the market or revenue of these large companies will also decrease and result in more unemployment?
Its really good of you to have posted this useful information, this will help drivers in UK get a chance to making some money to their pockets by signing up to Free now. I like the flexibility and the simplicity of the product, the requirements are normal and not burdensome. I’ll share this around, thanks for posting.
Wow! Great to see this alternative here. Finally we have got something to battle it out with uber. Thanks so much for bringing this to notice. At least, the offer to drive for freenow is still on and for someone like me looking to make ends meet from all possible sources would love to make use of this offer. Thank you and I really appreciate this
Ah, this is very nice, to see that you have shared this platform on here about Free now. I have never heard about it before though and I stay in America. I think that it is a good thing that it is straightforward and driving for this company comes easy. I am making this findings for a friend that stays in the UK. I want to know if there is any consideration for car repairs.
Uber driving may be really comfortable i must admit but Free now is a much simpler ideology for me. It’s requirement which is just a licence and a car gives a wider ranger of drivers to get involved in it without having to worry much and I love the factt that it operates in the UK too. There are a lot of people who would jump on this offer and the app system is great.
Hi Nathanmc, thank you for your article of an alternative to Uber and Lyft. It was very informative and straightforward. As Uber and Lyft are very popular I did not know that it was possible to find an alternative to them. I hope Free now will come soon to my city to enjoy cheap ride. I will pass the information o some friends who are taxi drivers. Thanks!
Wow. I did not know that Uber and Lyft had competition. Competition is good for the consumer. Free Now seems to be a great choice for drivers as well as riders. Is it available in the United States. If it’s not yet in the states it would be a great fit here as well. The extra competition would bring the prices offered by Uber and Lyft down as they have been rising. Thanks for the info. Larry
