No pun intended, but if you’ve been living under a rock and you don’t use the internet, then you might not have hard about Amazon. It is an eCommerce giant. The chances are if you’re reading this article, then you know what Amazon is. But you’re here because you want to learn about the different ways to make money with them.
If you want to make money with Amazon, then you probably have more ways to do it than you think. With that said, here are seven ways you can earn cash with Amazon:
1. Sell Stuff
The most obvious way to make money with Amazon is to sell, sell and sell some more. The way it works is pretty straightforward; You create a listing for your items that you want to sell and then sit back and wait for someone to buy it. There’s a bit of work that goes on in between that, but that’s the simplified version of how it works.
Finding stuff to sell on Amazon is probably easier than you think. Start looking in the obvious place, around your home, garage, office and what not. Other ways to do it is to find wholesalers or go to discount stores, and then buy low/sell high. Another good source to buy stuff from to resell is garage sales and consignment shops.
Here’s a tip, research. Research what products are currently popular on Amazon, what’s selling, what’s not and do a bit of keyword research so you can create blog posts about your listings.
In short:
. Find items to sell
. List them
. Create blog posts about your listings
. Make money (hopefully)
2. Do Amazon Turk
Amazon Turk is owned by the eCommerce giant and it connects task-takers to those who need tasks done. These tasks might include writing an article, taking surveys and transcriptions to name a few.
As for how much you can earn with Turk, this really depends. The more tasks you complete and the higher your overall score is, the more potential you’ll have for earning money. Don’t expect to earn big amounts of money, at least not right away.
Generally speaking, Turk is an easy way to make money and it’s legit. The downside is that the pay can be low, especially if you only focus on low-paying tasks.
3. Deliver Amazon Packages
Amazon Flex allows people who can drive and have a driver’s license make money delivering packages from Amazon. The way it works is simple, you need to select the preferred region you want to deliver packages in. This section is constantly being updated, so if your preferred region isn’t on there, then keep checking.
After you select your region, you have to check off that you are 21-years-old and you have a valid United States Driver’s license. Amazon wants you to have a mid-sized sedan or larger. Then you download the Amazon Flex app.
Bear in mind you’ll have to undergo a background check, watch a few training videos and provide your bank info and tax info. The entire process from start to finish can take a few weeks. Once everything is cleared and you’re given the ok, then you’re good to go.
Points to keep in mind:
. Amazon looks for drivers in specific cities
. Can use a rental car
. Might not make that much
. Amazon says can make up to $18 to $25 an hour
. You know details of the delivery/deliveries via the Amazon Flex App
4. Join The Associate’s Program
Amazon has the Associate’s Program, which is the eCommerce’s affiliate program. You have to apply, and once accepted you will be able to promote products on Amazon. You get paid a percentage of the sales you bring in. A lot of websites generate serious revenues with Amazon Associates.
On that note, you do have to make at least three qualifying sales within 180 days of joining the Associate’s Program. If you don’t make these sales, then you’ll have to reapply again. Don’t get discourage if you are unable to generate those three sales.
5. Write An eBook For The Kindle
You can make money with Amazon by creating your very own eBook for the Kindle. Once it’s published, you can promote it and make money when people purchase it. Do bear in mind that the whole selling eBooks via the Kindle area is a bit competitive, so be prepared to promote your book hard; At least if you want to generate some decent money.
Just do a bit of research and find out what kind of eBooks are doing well on the Kindle. Are there any books in your niche or that fall within your passion? If so, start brainstorming and start creating.
6. Work At An Amazon Warehouse
Amazon has quite a few fulfillment centers across America, and if you’re up to the task and physically able to do it, then consider landing a job at one. Many of the job adverts for Amazon fulfillment centers are for 4-day work weeks, full/part/seasonal workers and Amazon workers make at least $15 per hour.
However, there may not be an Amazon warehouse near you. As of the time of this writing, there are 75 fulfillment centers across North America and 25 sorting centers across the continent.
If you like physical work and don’t mind fast-paced work, then landing a job at an Amazon fulfillment center might be for you.
7. Invest In Amazon Stock via Robinhood
You can invest in Amazon stock, although it is sky high right now. As of this writing, it’s stock price is hovering around $1,900 per share. That is a lot of money to a lot of people; Plus, investing in some stocks are usually not a good way to make money fast or even within a short period of time. Also, there’s no guarantee you’ll make money investing in Amazon stocks.
Nonetheless, it is still a potential way to make money with Amazon. If you’re not a fan of possibly losing money, then investing probably isn’t for you.
Note: Investing in stocks is extremely risky. If you’ve never done it before, then take the time to learn as much as you possibly can about it. Robinhood is a good place to start, but don’t invest more than what you can afford to and go in investing with the right mindset.
