Should You Signup As A Worker With The Wonolo App

On-demand platforms have increased in popularity throughout these last few years. People looking to earn a little bit of cash have many options out there, if they want to use an on-demand platform. One of them is the Wonolo App, which we’ll discuss in greater detail. After you go over the below info, you can decide whether or not to give Wonolo a try.

What Is Wonolo

They dub themselves as an on-demand staffing platform. They connect businesses to temp workers. Another way to think of them is to liken Wonolo to Uber/Lyft, but instead of connecting riders to drivers, they connect workers to businesses via an app.

The company’s headquarters is in California, and they’ve been around since 2013. However, they allow workers in various cities across America onto the platform, but we’ll discuss that a bit later.

How To Use Wonolo

There’s a few steps you got to take before you can start using the Wonolo app. The way it all works (the short version) is:

  • You download the Wonolo app from Google Play or the App Store
  • You signup to become a worker
  • If you find a job you want to take up, accept it
  • Go to the job, perform your duties
  • When the job is approved, you wait to get paid

That’s the gist of how everything works. Remember, at the time of this writing anyone can download the Wonolo app, but Wonolo only operates in certain cities. Below is a link to the cities Wonolo is available in:

list of cities

Background Check

During the signup process, you might be required to undergo a background check. From what it looks, you’ll submit a photo of yourself and a Government ID, as well as your Social Security Number.

Getting Paid

When you complete a job, it can take around 3-5 business days for you to see your money. As for how you get paid, you’ll be asked to provide your bank account details. You can also get paid via debit card or prepaid debit card, as long as the prepaid card includes a direct deposit ID and a routing number.

Types Of Jobs Available via Wonolo

One of the best things about using the Wonolo app is the types of jobs you’ll come across. In general, you can find work via an array of industries, such as:

  • General labor
  • Warehouse
  • Delivery driver
  • Food production
  • Administrative Merchandising
  • Washing cleaning

Wonolo Review: The Pros & Cons

The Wonolo app has a few pros and cons I’d like to quickly point out.

The Pros

The good include workers can browse jobs and easily accept the one they want to go to. They can get paid a few days after the job has been approved. Another good thing is workers can rate the company they’ve just worked for and they are able to provide their feedback. Asides from that, Wonolo an on-demand platform. You simply log into the app, find jobs and click on accept; And then you’re good to go.

The Cons

The cons include jobs can go quickly, which isn’t surprising. This is why it’s probably a good idea to log into the app regularly. Another con is that as of now Wonolo doesn’t operate in all cities. Furthermore, you should be prepared to consent to a background check. This actually (in my opinion) isn’t a bad thing, but I think some people might not feel comfortable providing Wonolo with their Social Security Number and a photo ID. But bear in mind that most jobs would require such info anyways.

What Are Other Wonolo App Reviews Saying

For what’s it worth, there are a ton of positive Wonolo reviews. On Google Play alone, the majority of Wonolo reviews appear to be positive in nature. At the time of this writing, they have 4 1/2 stars out of five. And that is out of just over 4,440 reviews. The negative Wonolo reviews I’ve been seeing seem to be mentioning that the app glitches out from time to time; But the team at Wonolo seem quite responsive and helpful.

Should You Use The Wonolo App

If you don’t mind putting in work at a designated location (non-remote work), then by all means give the Wonolo app a try. It’s easy enough to use, and who knows you might find yourself able to make some cash.

Feel free to download the app from:

  1. For me, this is not a bad idea at all and it could fetch anyone some really cool mo.ry while you do these jobs. I really like that you’ll not have to go around the place applying for the job, but rather they give you a list of available jobs to pick from and it’s really one very good opportunity for anyone who is willing. Great idea

  2. Good day Nathan, wonolo app would be particularly useful to anyone looking for temporary work or an alternative source of income, times are hard and it’s difficult to come by a good job with satisfying pay so I think Wonolo app will solve that problem. Thank you for sharing such an helpful and truly informative article…

  3. This is very interesting. I am going to check it out!
Thanks for the information and the pros and cons of
    this endeavor.
    All the best,

  4. Well, this platform has been up for up to seven years and and I am really surprised to see that I do not even know anything about it at all but it’s still a good thing to be able to learn about it and also to see that one can make money by taking some jobs. I was hoping that writing jobs could be added to the whole thing.

  5. Wow, an interesting app. It makes sense that something like that would pop up sooner or later, but it’s still a surprise. I think this is where the power of the Internet really shines – in applications like these which make life easier.

I am interested in how Wonolo works today, with the pandemic raging in many countries across the globe. Since most of the labour that gets advertised on it is physical, it may be harder for the company to connect workers and employees. But given how many people lost their jobs in the recent months, I am willing to bet that the benefit of something like Wonolo is right on the money. I can see this being of benefit to many people right now.

  6. Interesting, as I had never heard of Wonolo before. And it looks convenient for on-remote jobs, with the only drawback, as you mentioned, jobs might sell out quickly. That kind of makes it a first go basis.

The other thing I miss is the online jobs; I think there is great potential in creating a similar platform for online positions so we could all apply for one of the jobs.

  7. Great summarized article. It is straight to the point I like it. The fact that the jobs go quickly I think that on its own is a sign that the Wonolo treats its staff very well. It is great to have a platform such as Wonolo app especially when one deals with government tender were you only need workers for a certain time and for certain tasks. Is there a specific reason as to why Wonolo app is not operating in many regions or cities?

  8. Hi Nathan,

Seems like a good idea. Wonder though, how Wonolo works nowadays, with the COVID pandemic in many countries across the world. Are they still hiring workforce?

The aim of your website is a very noble one and will help a great many people find avenues to make money online, provided they have the determination to continue. Those interested in making money quickly may however be disappointed.

    Aps.

  9. This app sound like a good fit for me. I initially was a bit skeptical and I honestly preferred something that would not include putting in work at a designated location. But after reading about Wonolo app I have made up my mind to give it a try. Thank you very much for your very useful post.

  10. Winolo is a great app for those who want a different way to do conventional, short term jobs.  It’s like a temp service, except you pick your jobs online.  Actually temps work that way sometimes too.  It’s not available everywhere, so it all depends on whether or not you live in a participating area.  If you do, you have a good opportunity to find employment in the short term.
