Believe it or not, but you can get paid to test things out. Best of all, it can be done online. There are quite a few places that take on online testers.
Testerup is one of those places that allows you to make money testing out products. The platform connects you with businesses that want people to test their stuff out. “Stuff” can mean apps, websites, and games to name a few.
If you want to learn a bit more about Testerup, then read the rest of this article. It’ll cover the basic stuff you need to know, including how the platform works, making money, and all that other good stuff.
Testerup: What Is It And How It Works
It’s a platform that connects you with companies that want to pay users to test out their digital products. This includes apps, sites, games and software. In order to use the site, you’ll need to create an account/profile with Testerup. After that, you may be invited to test out products.
If you complete the testing, then the platform will pay you for your work. Signing up is easy, as you can do it via your Facebook account, Google account, or you can register via your email address.
How Much Money Can You Make
Different projects pay differently. According to the website, you can earn up to $120 per test offer. Also, Testerup’s homepage mentions that there are more than 20 jobs after you register for an account. Testerup also claims that each member receives over 50 offers to test. The total they are worth is over $800.
So, on the homepage it states you’ll have more than 20 jobs after you register for an account, as well as over 50 offers to test. I’m not too sure how this works, but even if you only had 20 offers that wouldn’t be too bad in my opinion.
Payment Methods & Payout Threshold
At the time of this writing, you have to have a minimum of $70USD in your account before you can request a payout. Once you request it, you’ll be paid via PayPal. You can only receive up to $250 per payment transaction. This means if you have $500 in your account, the payout will be split into two transactions.
As for how long it takes to receive your money, this depends. But Testerup’s homepage states that payments are transferred to PayPal accounts in 24 hours.
Who Can Use Testerup
I know users in Canada and USA can definitely use the site to test products out for money. According to the terms you must reside in a country where the “modules” are offered. When you click on the module’s section, USA and Canada pops up. I don’t know if users in other countries can join Testerup to make money testing products.
On many sites that have reviewed the platform, it’s been mentioned that people worldwide can join as testers. If you’re not sure whether or not you can signup for an account, then you can contact Testerup directly and ask them.
Pros & Cons
The Pros
. Easy to use
. Quick signup process
. An array of offers you can potentially complete
The Cons
. Not all offers are available to everyone
. Chances are you won’t make a lot of cash
. Many apps have “in-app purchases”
Here’s a tip: do not spend money to make money. If you’re testing out an app and if for some reason it states or gives you the vibe that you need to make a purchase in order to complete the offer; Then do not go through with it.
Testerup: Worth It Or Not
Now you know what Testerup is, and have more of an idea of how it works. So, is joining the site worth it? It all depends, but if you’re looking to make some extra cash, then yes it might be worth it.
Just don’t expect to rake in a full-time consistent income using Testerup, or any site similar to it. With that said, go ahead and head over to Testerup to try it out for yourself. The link (not an affiliate link) can be found below:
